The tour includes roundtrip transport from Dublin, a live guide, a scenic drive through the Wicklow Mountains, a 2-hour tour of Glendalough, a sheepdog herding demonstration, and 2 hours to explore Kilkenny city. You'll also get free entry to the Kilkenny Castle park and courtyard area.
The tour lasts approximately 8-9 hours, with a pick-up time around 09:00 AM and a drop-off time around 17:30 / 18:00 in Dublin.
The tour is not suitable for children under 6 years old due to the nature of the tour and the amount of walking involved.
Make sure to bring comfortable footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, and your smartphone voucher to show your guide. Don’t forget a camera for the breathtaking scenery!
The meeting point is outside Dublin City Gallery (The Hugh Lane), Parnell Square North, Dublin 1. Look for your guide holding a Finn McCools Tours sign. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the departure time.
Food is not included in the tour, but there will be opportunities to grab a bite during the stops at Glendalough and Kilkenny. Feel free to bring snacks or water with you.
Unfortunately, refunds are not possible for this ticket, and rescheduling is not allowed. Be sure to arrive on time at the meeting point to avoid missing the tour.
This tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility due to the walking involved at Glendalough and Kilkenny. It is also not recommended for children under 6.
The tour includes free entry to the park and courtyard area of Kilkenny Castle, but entry inside the castle is not part of the tour.
The tour runs rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather, as the tour includes outdoor elements, particularly during the sheepdog demonstration and walking parts of the tour.
You'll have about 2 hours to explore Glendalough, a 10-minute photo stop in the Wicklow Mountains, and 2 hours to explore Kilkenny, including the Kilkenny Castle park.
The pick-up location is fixed at Dublin City Gallery, The Hugh Lane. If you're staying at a hotel or location further out, you may need to make your way to the meeting point.
